Produced in collaboration with AFRY, the Maritime Resilience Report examines the capacity of maritime infrastructure, supply chains, and coastal operations to withstand, adapt to, and recover from disruption. It addresses a sector exposed to compounding pressures: geopolitical tensions affecting strategic shipping routes, cyber threats targeting port systems, insider risk within operators and their supply chains, and the operational strain of rising traffic volumes.
The purpose of the report is to provide decision-makers — port authorities, shipping operators, insurers, and public institutions — with a structured view of current vulnerabilities and the levers available to strengthen resilience. It consolidates evidence across regulatory, technological, and operational dimensions, and aims to support planning horizons that extend beyond immediate risk management toward long-term systemic preparedness. Particular attention is given to insider risk: the detection, prevention, and mitigation of threats originating from employees, contractors, and trusted third parties with privileged access to maritime systems and data.
Readers will find both a diagnostic of today's maritime risk landscape and practical orientations for investment, coordination, and policy action.
This report is a member-only benefit.
